Skyridge High School quarterback Kaneal Sweetwyne has committed to play football for Brigham Young University (BYU). The 6-foot-3, 195-pound dual-threat quarterback from Lehi, Utah, announced his decision on January 4, 2024.
Sweetwyne’s commitment adds depth to BYU’s quarterback roster for the 2026 class. He chose BYU over other offers, including Washington State.
During his high school career at Skyridge, Sweetwyne showcased his versatility and athleticism. In a notable game against American Fork, he amassed 142 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, while also throwing for 233 yards and a touchdown.
Sweetwyne’s commitment is a significant addition to BYU’s football program, reflecting the team’s ongoing efforts to recruit top talent for future seasons.
